Cookie notice

This page describes the cookies and similar storage used on insightripple.click. It sits alongside the privacy notice, which covers enquiry data and engagement files.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Local storage is a separate place in the browser where a site can keep a short value that is not automatically sent to a server with every request. Both can remember a choice you made, such as whether the consent notice should stay closed.

How this site uses them

The pages are static. Reading an article, a fee, or an engagement does not require an account. The only choice the site remembers is your response to the consent notice: accepted or rejected. That choice is stored so the notice does not return on every page. Rejecting the notice leaves every page, form, and telephone number available. Nothing on the site is withheld because you reject.

Essential and analytics

The consent record is essential to remembering your decision. It is placed whether you accept or reject, because both decisions need to be remembered. Analytics cookies, which would measure how visitors move between pages, are not used. Accepting the notice does not switch on a measurement tool. There is no advertising cookie.

Storage table

Name Purpose Duration Provider
ir_consent Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. On this site the value is only the word accepted or rejected. 180 days Insight Ripple Financial Planning
insightripple-cookie-choice (local storage, not a cookie) Keeps the same decision in the browser so the notice stays closed even if the cookie is blocked. Until you clear site data for this domain Insight Ripple Financial Planning

Third-party cookies

The practice does not set third-party cookies. Fonts may be requested from Google Fonts so the serif lettering can load; that request is for typefaces, and the practice does not use it to identify you across other websites. If your browser blocks third-party requests, the pages still read in a fallback serif.

How to manage or disable cookies

Use the Accept and Reject buttons on the notice. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser settings, or by using the button below, which forgets the stored choice and shows the notice again.

Browser controls differ. In most browsers the lock or settings icon beside the address lets you remove cookies for a single site. Blocking all cookies will also remove ir_consent. The pages will still open. The notice will appear again because the previous decision will be gone.

Impact of disabling

If you reject, or if you block storage entirely, the site continues to show engagements, fees, field notes, and the enquiry form. The form does not depend on the consent cookie. You may simply see the notice on later visits until a choice is stored. Disabling the consent cookie does not disable telephone or email contact.

Changes

If the practice later adds a measurement cookie, this table will be updated first and the notice will ask again. Until that happens, accepting and rejecting have the same effect on page content: both leave the site fully usable, and neither starts analytics.
